An unused War Department official stamp that I believe to be an O83. The O83 was printed on thin, hard paper. The other choice, the more common O114, was printed on soft, thick paper. I compared the translucency of this stamp with an unused O59 (see my other auctions), and they are identical. There is no counterpart to the O59 on soft paper. If you purchase this stamp and determine that this is actually an O114 within two weeks of receipt, I will refund your purchase price.

There is a hinge remnant on the reverse, but most of the original gum is present.
