Usually 19th and early 20th century ORANGE stamps oxidize to a Yucky Brown - NOT THIS ONE!. Somehow it escaped the ravages of a coal burning sulfur dioxide environment and remained pristine in its ORANGE color. This stamp does have its original gum.
