This item is set of four commemorative stamps issued by Royal Mail (the British Post Office) on September 5, 1995. The set consists of two stamps showing Sir Rowland Hill (inventor of the postage stamp) and Guillermo Marconi, inventor of early wireless equipment. These stamps are listed in Scott as #1625-1628. All are MNH as issued by Royal Mail.

The two stamps issued for Hill are denominated 19 and 25 (pence) the then-current 2^nd and 1^st class domestic mail rates. The 25p stamp shows part of the design of the "Penny Black", i.e. the world's first postage stamp, which Hill invented.

The two issued for Marconi are denominated 41 and 60 (pence) which were the international airmail rates for letters sent outside Europe weighing up to 10 grammes (41p) and up to 20 grammes (60p).

US bidders: 14 days from the 3^rd day after the item is sent.

International: 14 days from the 7^th day after the item is sent.
