U.S. 33 USED PAIR w/SELVAGE.w/ CERT. I present for your consideration a very scarce used pair of this 1857 issue. The color is rich, the centering is good for these early issues, there are no stains or rust, there is a slight perf seperation at the top (approximately 2 perfs) and the cancel is light. The sheet positions are noted on the back: "42R1 & 41R1." The number "7" is also penciled on both stamps w/ additional writing that I cannot read except for the number "10." (see scan).

The Cert states: "U.S. Scott #33, Washington 10c Issue of 1857, Type III, Relief B, Positions 21R1 & 22R1. Used w/ Overlapping Mobile, Alabama Circular Town Cancels. Slight Perforation Separation At The Top. Notations On The Back Of each Stamp. Genuine In All Regards."
