Description

As well as hundreds of valuable and unique items being auctioned at 1 cent no reserve, we are selling off duplicate and unwanted catalogs and books. This is an unused copy...approx 180 pages...a great opportunity for someone! Good luck. Prices for shipping is approx. only, and will depend on the destination. We are glad to provide accurate shipping cost if asked, once purchased. we do not want to make money on the shipping...just whatever it costs us.

Please note. I have just finished bringing my wife back from having a detatched retina operation. She normally looks after all shipping for me. I had already planned this auction before the accident happened, so will go ahead....but please be patient if it takes me a little while to fill orders! Normally we fill all orders the next day, but I may fall a few days behind.
I will be placing a hundred or more itrems up for auction, all starting at 1 cent no reserve. There are some truly amazing items being offered.... make sure you study them all carefully...if new to Stampwants, you will find our auctions are not your average events! Those that take the time to study will end up with some great buys. For the duration of the auction I will also be putting all items in the store on sale.... make sure you study those as well...I promise you it will be worth your while.
Immediately following this auction and sale ( by which we hope to raise approx. $5,000) we will be changing the name of the store to Cats Anonymous, and from then on all proceeds from stamp sales on this site will go to help with that sanctuary. personally I am more of a dog person than a cat person, but I love all animals and the need for cats ( that seem to seen by some as a 'disposable' pets) is truly immense. I hope all dog lovers will understand.... I will continue to support stray dogs in other ways...please look for updates. GOOD LUCK BIDDING! Thanks! Barry

All stamps are described to the best of my knowledge. I always try to illustrate the auction with clear, large photos . Please be aware that I have a limited knowledge of much of my material. Often a listing was a part of a much larger collection. Inspect the items carefully, as my descriptions may be brief. The item you see is the item you get! I enjoy working with stamps, but my other duties with http://www.strays.ca/ and http://www.strays.us/ usually leave me with too much to do, and too little time. Often a volunteer has taken the pictures, and I upload what I have. If you require a photo of back (or a clearer photo of the front if the uploaded one is not clear) and there is not one here, please let me know and I will be glad to either add one to the listing or send to you.

As general guidelines regarding descriptions, the condition of the items will be described as accurate as possible. With individual stamps, all of the generally accepted major flaws which are not always visible in the pictures, regardless of the resolution (e.g. thins, etc.) will be mentioned in the description if they exist. Flaws which are clearly visible in the pictures, like missing perfs., tears, creases , obvious soiling/toning, short margins on one or more sides, reinforced perfs. for multiples, etc. might not always be mentioned in the description and they alone do not constitute an acceptable reason in case of a return. Some "flaws" which are not uniformly accepted as being so, like paper adhesion on the back of a stamp, off-sets, natural gum skips or wrinkles, heavy hinging, etc. might not always be described.

I am not an expert by any means....but I'm trying, and I am sure having fun learning! I accept best offers...but please be reasonable.

As always, I'll be happy to answer any questions regarding the listings if I can.

This site is operated by Barry Tuddenham and will sell mostly, but not exclusively, worldwide covers and French stamps...two areas of collecting that interest me greatly...but of which I still have a LOT to learn! Please check out our listings...we have some fantastic items available. If you see an error in listing info, please let me know...

If you see an error in pricing and think an item is too low, by all means grab it up...but tell me where I made a mistake so I will know for next time. If I am too high, please tell me why you think so. Help is always appreciated.

If you are not familiar with us, please read our Terms and conditions :

This site is to raise funds for an issue that concerns me deeply... how animals are treated prior to reaching the dinner table (although, as always money will also go to stray animals.) I see nothing wrong with eating meat, but how an animal is treated (or grossly mistreated to be more accurate) is a terrible injustice that should not be ignored by any caring person. Out of site out of mind does just not cut it....the barbaric practices now used, all to save a few cents, are truly insane! For education purposes we operate the web site SADPIG.INFO .You can find out why the strange name, an acronym, by clicking on the banner below:

Seller's Shipping & Payment Details :
We ship by Canada post. $100 Insurance and tracking can be arranged for an additional $9 added to any size order. We take EVERY care in shipping, placing your address and return address clearly on front and back. It is EXTREMELY unlikely that anything will go wrong, but once an item is out of our hands we are not responsible. In some instances recently, esp. to overseas, Canada Post has charged us more than we have charged the customer. From now on, if this happens we will notify customer. if they decline to pay the extra, we reserve the right to ship by surface, which takes considerably longer. Sorry. We try to be as fair as possible. If you are buying multiple job lots the automatic payment calculated by Stampwants will probably be too high. Please ask if you want us to calculate a more accurate cost once you have finished purchasing.... we will take to the post office and have them determine a price.
