Description

 Can't We Just All Get Along??

Less than two months ago the island of Alderney - a dependent territory of Guernsey - issued a third set in their depiction of island Raptors. Among the birds depicted were the Barn Owl, the Long-Eared Owl, and the Peregrine Falcon.

Cartoonist and cachetmaker Dave Bennett, on this handcolored Puffin Cachets FDC, has depicted this trio menacingly staring down a possible meal - the Puffin Cachets mascot!


This FDC bears singles of the three raptor stamps with denominations of 40p, 51p and 53p, and two nice strikes of the pictorial First Day of Issue postmark of May 15, 2008.

The cover is marked on the reverse as number 5 of only 13 made.
