1896 duplex cnl, addr "JL Clark Rankin's Tenn", cover has milling
company advert, bkstp Rankins Depot, many flts incl a nearly broken
crease across the stamp, there is a Newark NJ Nov 18 1979
machine cnl on the reverse, this cnl (accompanied by a USPS
accounting mark) 83 years after this cover was mailed has one of
two possible explanations, 1-the cover was in a dealers shipment
and fell out during the facing and canceling process and was then
bkstp, OR 2-the cover was lost for this incredible amount of time,
the bkstp of Rankins Depot suggests it was delivered in 1896, but
the discrepancy between the town names (with and without Depot)
could lend some credence to this cover being delivered in 1979 (the
"Depot" part of the town name had been dropped by then), either way
a truly unusual cover for someone who demands the truly bizarre,
