Description

Naval Cover cacheted front & back. Front is a photo (with pertinent text) of the only commissioned conventionally powered aircraft carrier remaining in the U.S. Navy Arsenal, since the USS John F. Kennedy was decommissioned in March, '07, USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63) underway with Mt. Fuji, Japan in the background. Also, the Kitty Hawk's crest (inset). The ship's postal clerk also hand-stamped the crest in black. The "DON'T TREAD ON ME" banner is also pictured. It's franked with the 41 cent "Purple Heart", and cancelled on board, "USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63) NOV 26 2007 FPO AP 96634-2770". Back cachet is a beautiful photo of various aircraft from the squadrons of Carrier Air Wing 5 assigned to the Kitty Hawk flying by snow-covered Mt. Fuji. CVW-5's Crest is also pictured. USCS Member# 11835 Cover# 2 of 10. "TOP SARGE" Cachet. Cover is unaddressed, unsealed, and poly-sleeve enclosed. Nice, inexpensive item of Military memorabilia.
