Georgia #43 Imperf - Surcharged with new value in black. Mint NH. No Gum. XF.

Scott #43 is normally perforated. This imperf stamp is mentioned in a footnote following #47 stating "Nrs 43, 45, 46 and 47 exist imperf but were not so issued. Value $25 each."

Georgia was formerly a province of the Russian Empire and later part of the Transcaucasion Federated Republics. On March 1, 1994, Georgia joined the Commonwealth of Independent States.
