This stamp dates from the German occupation of the Alsace-Lorraine region of France in 1870. In good condition, this stamp would have a catalog value of $175. To put it mildly, it's not in good condition. In addition to what can be seen from the front, the stamp is heavily hinged and the rear shows some water damage. I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to spend a couple of cents and the time this typing takes, but I don't have that much desire for the stamp, and maybe somebody else does. The first person to pay me $2 for this stamp gets it, and I'll consider any offer that covers my cost of shipping it to you.
