China Postcards

Commemorating the founding of the People's Republic of China

A set of 5 postcards from China, each depicting a different theme to commemorate the founding of the People's Republic of China. Four of the postcards bear a canceled stamp on the front. The themes depicted are a painting of Chairman Mao Zedong announcing the formation of the PRC (no stamp); the music and words in Chinese to the National Anthem "The March of the Volunteers" and the national emblem (commemorated by a similar stamp); the National Flag of the PRC, with five yellow stars on a red field (with stamp bearing the image and a rainbow); Beijing as the capitol of the People's Republic (stamp); and the Great Wall of China (stamp).

They are unused and in good condition. The back of each card contains an explanation of the theme. Each card measures about 7x5.5 inches.
