Military cover honoring Audie Leon Murphy, this Nation's Most Highly Decorated Hero of WW-II, Recipient of this Nation's Highest award for Valor, the "Medal of Honor", and almost every other medal/award that the the U.S. can present to a person for Heroism, Bravery, Courage, Valor & Service, including three (3) "Purple Hearts". He also received numerous awards, recognizing his heroic actions, by our Allied Countries. He survived the war and became a very successful Hollywood Movie Actor, and played the role of himself in, "To Hell And Back", his life story, but unfortunately, died at the young age of 46 due to an automobile accident. The front cachet consist of Audie's photo in his dress uniform, a photo of his headstone at Arlington National Cemetery, "Where Valor Proudly Sleeps", and two of his many medals. It's franked with the 41 cent "Purple Heart" and canceled, "FARMERSVILLE, TX DEC 14 2007", his birthplace. The back cachet depicts the shoulder patch insignia of his U.S. Army Third Infantry Division with their motto, "WE SHALL REMAIN".
