Two-Cover Set Features All 10 Stamps
In Handsome New Alpine Tundra Sheetlet

The ninth sheetlet in the ongoing 'Nature of America' series featured the inhabitants of the Alpine Tundra.

Cartoonist and cachetmaker Dave Bennett has depicted all 10 of the critters from this newest sheetlet in his pop-up cachet - which folds down to album size, but opens up to a full 12"!

Among the beasties found living above the tree line in our continental mountain ranges are the Bighorn Sheep, White-Tailed Ptarmigan, American Pika, Yellow-Bellied Marmot, Golden Eagle, Elk, and four others.

This auction is for a set of TWO FDCs that between them bear all 10 stamps from the sheetlet. Both have nice clear First Day of Issue cancels from Estes Park, Colorado on August 28, 2007.

(The slight doubling seen in the image of the unfolded cover is due only to a slight inaccuracy in my PhotoStitch program, and is not present on the actual covers.)
