I came into possesion of a large collection of Mardi Gras Doubloons, and have enjoyed researching them and the history of each one. 

The doubloons are among the things thrown off the floats during the Mardi Gras Parades.  The are similar in size to a silver dollar and come in many different colors and metals.  (All that I am selling are aluminum unless otherwise noted)  They indicate the Krewe that had them minted, and a theme that changes with every year
