PROTECTORS
These plastic
sheet covers are perfect for protecting your sheets from selvage
and gum damage that often occurs when storing them in an album.
They also help prevent curling (due to humidity changes) and
prevent smudges from dust or handling. The covers are made from
crystal clear, archival quality, acid-free plastic so that sheets
can be viewed in detail without the need to remove them from the
protector.
The 9 1/4" x 11" size accomodates all standard size sheets yet
still fit in your album without over-lapping edges. Once placed in
the protector, sheets can be safely handled without the danger of
perf seps, sticking selvage, smudges or finger prints on the
gum.
The covers are open on two sides, which allow the sheets to be
easily and safely inserted or removed. We suggest placing the
sheets on the smooth, lightweight piece of cardboard (included in
the lot), then sliding the cardboard carrier and sheet into the
protector. After the sheet is positioned, remove the cardboard
carrier. This eliminates handing of the sheet while positioning and
is the safest way to insert (or remove) sheets from ANY protector
(including album pages).
These protectors are not 3-hole punched. We do not recommend
placing sheets in ANY 3-hole punched protector where there is not a
protective seam between the rings of the binder and the
sheet.
Although we
recommend the 9 1/4" x 11" size for most U.S. Sheets, we also can
supply these protectors in any size from 7" x 4" up to 12" x 11" in
1/4" increments. You may specify any size you wish within this
range for protecting U.S. self-adhesives, mini sheets, souvenir
sheets, or even documents and photographs. If you wish to have a
different size than the "standard" 9 1/4" x 11" please let us know
via email and we'll be happy to provide them for you. If you do not
specify a size, we will ship the 9 1/4" x 11" size to you. You may
also "mix or match" any sizes in your order. For example if you
purchase 50 protectors you can specify 25 at 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" (for
mini sheets) and 25 at 9 1/4" x 11" (for "standard" sheets) and
still get the 50-protector rate. Please note, however, that a
minimum of 20 protectors must be ordered of any one size. Pricing
of all protectors, regardless of size, is the
same.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING: Lots of
50 or more protectors will be shipped in either a Priority Mail
flat rate envelope or flat rate box. Our shipping charge is a flat
$2.50 (not including insurance, if applicable) regardless of
whether you buy 20 protectors or 500. There would also be NO
additional shipping charge if other items in our store are
purchased (sheets, blocks, coins, etc.) as long as a single,
combined payment is made. Please note that combined purchases over
$50.00 MUST be insured at the actual insurance
rate.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Because of the weight of
the sheet protector lots, we will only ship internationally in an
International Priority Mail flat rate box. The cost for shipping up
to 500 protectors is a flat $33.50. In addition, shipments valued
at over $50.00 MUST be sent via Registered Mail at an additional
cost of $10.50. If you are an
international buyer, please take these shipping rates into
consideration before
purchasing!
